Job Description

CIT is seeking to hire a business development consultant to help the CEO grow the company. Responsibilities include:

• Develop and help implement a strategic growth plan
• Identifying, researching and prospecting for clients
• Writing proposals, insuring that proposals meet funder specifications and deadlines as well as CIT’s quality standards
• Coordinate activities with CIT’s founder
• Develop CIT's brand and promote it’s work
• Help build CIT’s network of professional contacts within the industry
• Other related tasks, as needed

Qualifications

• MBA, marketing degree, or related Masters degree
• 4 years of relevant business development experience
• Proven track-record of starting and growing successful businesses
• Experience in international conflict resolution and international development in an overseas setting preferred
• Existing network of potential peacebuilding funders (US government, foundations...)
• Entrepreneurial spirit and risk-taker
• Demonstrates strong collaborative problem-solving skills when working as part of a team
• Consulting experience
• Fluency in English and proficiency in at least one other language (French preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in one of CIT’s technical areas (conflict analysis, conflict resolution, and/or conflict management training)
