Preventing Youth Incarceration
About this Project
In an effort to stem the rise of youth incarcerations in Baltimore, Baltimore City Juvenile Justice Center (BCJJC) started an Alternative Dispute Resolution Program to help kids stay in their homes and avoid the harmful effects of detention.
CIT mediates intra-family delinquency cases to help families resolve the issues that brought them to interface with the legal system, make plans for re-unification and improve family dynamics.
