CIT evaluated the conflict dynamics in the Mbomou-Uele border region between CAR and the DRC to understand core grievances and resiliencies of local communities. CIT also assessed the communication ecosystem of the area to better understand how information networks are used to mobilize and interrupt violence.  

The analysis identified entry opportunities for moving the system of relationships closer towards resolving threats to local communities and determined potential engagement priorities for CIT’s conflict resolution teams.
