The American Bar Association, Rule of Law Initiative (ABA-ROLI) called on Communities in Transition to professionalize it's Legal Aid Clinic staff.

ABA staff from Bangui, Bimbo, Bossangoua, Berberati and Bouar came to master advanced communication skills and learn to mediate interpersonal conflicts. The training was followed by 2-weeks of coaching for participants to apply what they learned.

Follow-up sessions with lawyers and upper-management were also conducted to integrate the new approach in ABA' CAR program.
